The mask must be rubbed into the hair. Don't spread it or leave it on, just rub it in and leave it for a few moments. After rinsing, it sits in the open hair cuticles, closing or sticking them together. After drying my hair, I dry it with a brush, the effect is wonderful until the next wash. I've been using it for about 2 weeks, maybe 3.
